Transcript to Captions (SRT & VTT)

Paste a transcript and get properly timed subtitle files in seconds. Choose a speaking pace or a total length, pick a caption style, and strip filler words like "um" and "uh". Captions break at sentence ends and never split a word. Timestamps in the text, such as [01:23], pin captions to the exact moment you choose.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between SRT and VTT?

SRT is the most widely accepted caption format and works on almost every editor. VTT is the web standard used by HTML video players. Both hold the same timed text.

Do I need timestamps in my transcript?

No. Without them, the tool spreads captions evenly across your words at the pace you set, or across the total length you enter. Timestamps are optional, and they make the timing exact.

Is my transcript uploaded anywhere?

No. The conversion runs in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server and no account is needed.
