Audio Waveform Maker
A waveform image is the simplest way to show a podcast clip or voice note on a feed that only takes pictures. This free audio waveform generator reads your audio in the browser, draws it as bars, a mirrored shape, a line or dots, and exports a PNG or SVG sized for the platform you post to. Pick the colours, bar count and rounded caps, and nothing leaves your device.

How to use it
Upload an audio file: MP3, WAV, M4A or OGG. It is decoded on your device.
Choose a style (bars, mirrored, line or dots), the bar count, the colours and an aspect of 1:1, 9:16 or 16:9.
Download the image as PNG for posting or SVG for editing in a design tool.

Is my audio uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is decoded and drawn in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server and no account is needed.
Which format should I export?
Use PNG for posting to social feeds. Use SVG when you want to scale the waveform or recolour it later in a design tool.
Why does the waveform look flat for quiet parts?
Each bar shows the loudness of its slice of audio, scaled to the loudest slice in the file. Quiet passages draw short bars, which is accurate.
