Audio Loudness Checker (LUFS)

Audio that is too quiet gets lost in the feed, and audio that is too loud gets squashed by the platform. This free loudness checker measures your file the way broadcast and streaming standards do (ITU-R BS.1770), reads the true peak so clipping shows up, and tells you exactly how many dB to raise or lower it for each platform.

Frequently asked questions

What target should I use for TikTok, Reels and Shorts?

Around -14 LUFS integrated works well for short-form video. Platforms normalise loud audio down, so aiming near -14 keeps your voice and music consistent.

What is a true peak and why does it matter?

True peak estimates the highest level the audio reaches between samples. If it goes above 0 dBTP, the file can clip after encoding even when the sample peaks look fine.

Does my file get uploaded?

No. The file is decoded and measured inside your browser. Nothing is sent to a server and no account is needed.
