Video Frame Grabber
Need a still from a video for a thumbnail, a slide or a post? This free frame grabber lets you scrub to the exact moment, step one frame at a time, and save it at full resolution as a PNG or JPEG. Or build a contact sheet: a grid of evenly spaced frames that shows a whole clip at a glance. Your video never leaves your browser.

What frame rate does the step button use?
It assumes 30 frames per second by default. If your footage is 24, 25, 50 or 60 fps, change the frame rate box and the step buttons will match it.
Is the saved frame full resolution?
Yes. The frame is drawn at the video’s native width and height, so a 4K clip gives you a 4K still.
Does my video get uploaded?
No. The video is read from your device and every frame is drawn in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.
