Online Teleprompter

Reading to a camera is harder than it looks. This free online teleprompter scrolls your script at a speed you set in words per minute, with a reading line, a countdown and an optional mirror mode for a teleprompter glass. It runs in your browser, so nothing you type is uploaded, and it never touches your camera.

Frequently asked questions

What speed should I read at?

Most people speak at about 130 to 160 words per minute on camera. Start at 140, record a line, then adjust until it feels natural.

Does it use my camera or record anything?

No. The teleprompter only scrolls text. It does not open your camera or microphone, record video, or send your script anywhere.

How do I estimate how long my script takes?

The tool shows an estimated runtime from your word count and speed. Divide the words by your words per minute to get the minutes.
